How to delete the drop-down address bar history

The Address Bar allows users to click the down arrow to view the recently visited pages. So, Internet Explorer dropdown Address Bar history shows some of the web sites you have recently visited and anyone who has access to your computer can see a drop down list with the web sites you have visited.

Delete the drop-down Address bar history in Internet Explorer 9.0/ 8.0
From the Tools menu select Delete browsing history.
Select History and click Delete.

Delete the drop-down Address bar history in Internet Explorer 7.0:
• Select "Tools"
• Select "Internet Options".
• Open the "General" tab.
• In "Browsing history" area click the "Delete" button.
• To delete the drop-down history, click "Delete history" and then click Yes.

Delete the drop-down Address bar history in Internet Explorer 6.x:
• Go to Tools and select Internet Options.
• Open the General tab, click "Clear history".
• Click "OK".

Open Firefox and press Ctrl - Shift - Del to open the Clear recent history window. Then open the Details drop-down menu and select the necessary history item.

Open the Tools menu, then select Options and open the Privacy tab. Under the Private area click Clear Now. In the Clear Private Data window select the necessary history item and click Clear Private Data Now.
