Erase Cache
Cache is a place to store recently accessed data such as pictures, text, online videos and other bits and pieces. Having cache makes surfing the Internet quicker and more convenient for you because these stored pieces allow your favorite websites to load faster. But think about cache from another point of view.
Imagine someone else sitting down to your computer and opening up your cache file. They would be able to see images, text, video and more from all the websites that you have visited. They would basically be able to see what you had seen. Would you want someone else to access to that information?
Browser Cache
Browser cache stores information from web pages that you often visit. This means that every image, video and sound from all the websites you visit is stored on your PC. And anyone looking at your cache would be able to see everything that you saw the last time you were on the Internet.
Browser cache makes Internet surfing quicker as the next time you visit the web site associated with that cache file, the page will load faster. But browser cache is also great privacy concern. If you want to be sure that no one see your browser cache, you should erase it regularly.
But in Internet Explorer even if you erase browser cache manually, cache index.dat file stores Internet surfing information. This file keeps a total record of every website you visit. And this file is locked, so you can't delete it by hand.
